
The basic papers for the AME license examination conducted by the DGCA, New Delhi are: On completion of the II semester (1 year completion) an AME student is advised to appear for the Basic Paper 1 of the AME License Examination conducted by the DGCA, New Delhi and at the end of two years for Paper II.
Similarly, on completion of the V semester (2.1/2 years of completion) an AME student is advised to appear for the Basic Papers I, II, and III as early as possible is that it will be much easier for the student to acquire the much coveted AME license later on by passing only in specific paper IV applicable to the type of avionics system on which he/she gained the requisite practical maintenance experience as per Aircraft Rules/ CAR.
Also, after passing Paper I, II, and III he/she will be eligible to get a Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (BAMEL) from the DGCA which will enable the student to get a job in the aviation industry. For further excel once & to gain Qualification the student has to undergo only Section B of Aeronautical Society of India’s paper to be at par with Aeronautical Engineering.
