About IAME

The "Institute of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (IAME)" was established in 2008 at "Aurangabad", a city of Maharashtra State having cultural and historical heritage. IAME functions under Late Lilawati Satish Awhad Education Society and to run the course under Continuing Education Programme (CEP), this institute made MOU with Government Polytechnic Aurangabad (An autonomous Institute of Govt. of Maharashtra).

To meet the growing demand, “Institute of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering” (IAME) was established in the year 2008 at Aurangabad, the city of historical background. IAME is approved by DGCA, ministry of civil Aviation, Govt. of India to impart ab-initio AME training in Mechanical & Avionics streams.

To be a reputed and creditable institute, IAME aims to produce quality Aircraft Maintenance Engineers at a competitive level. IAME develops students by providing an environment for personal growth, opportunities, knowledge, exposure, personal attention and career direction. Our mission is to provide high quality teaching by utilizing new educational and communication technologies, to produce AME’s with wisdom, insight and skills to contribute to the betterment of aviation industry. Special Features

AME License is issued by DGCA is based on the requirements laid down by

International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The role of ICAO is to set international standards and regulation for safety, security & efficient air transport services globally. Thus the ICAO serves as the medium of co-operation in all fields of civil aviation among its contracting states/ member states. Hence the AME license issued by DGCA is recognized by Foreign Airlines & Maintenance Organization for getting the job abroad.

About AME

An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is a licensed person vested with sole responsibility of maintenance of aircrafts, engines, instruments, accessories and issues the Certificate of Flight Release that declares aircraft is airworthy and safe to fly. As per the guidelines set by the international body (ICAO) and the regulatory authority of the country (DGCA), all aircrafts must have valid Certificate of Airworthiness (C of A) before any flight of aircraft. Thus an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer shoulders the responsibility of aircraft safety and the personnel onboard on behalf of Govt. of India.

Courses We Offer

The AME course is designed to give the students a comprehensive knowledge of aircraft and its systems to become skilled and competent maintenance professional by following the laid down maintenance practices.

Category B1.1 : Aeroplane Turbine

Students enrolled under AME Licence in category B1.1 (Aeroplane Turbine) are trained to perform maintenance on Aircraft Structure and Gas Turbine Engines (Jet Engines)

Category B2 : Avionics

Students enrolled under AME Licence in category B2 are trained to perform maintenance on Electrical System, Instrument System & Radio Navigation System of Aircraft.
